Nordplus IP music laboratory THE PROCESS 2012
‘Nordplus IP music laboratory THE PROCESS‘ is an educational project, which aims to strengthen and develop Nordic-Baltic educational and cultural cooperation, to promote cooperation of young composers and professional musicians, to train well prepared composers in the multinational environment, and to disseminate project results by presenting musical works of young composers to the audience of Nordic and Baltic countries. Project supported by the Nordplus HE programme and coordinated within the classical music network Sibelius. The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre is a coordinating institution of this Nordplus IP. Partners are: Royal Danish Academy of Music (Denmark), Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Estonia), Sibelius Academy (Finland), School of Music of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Iceland Academy of the Arts, Department of Music (Iceland), Latvian Academy of Music (Latvia), Grieg Academy (Norway), Norwegian Academy of Music (Norway), Institute of Music and Media of the Lulea University of Technology (Sweden), Malmö Academy of Music (Sweden), Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Sweden).
‘Nordplus IP music laboratory THE PROCESS‘ takes place in Vilnius April 16 – 29, 2012. THE PROCESS will be split into two parts: the first part will encompass lectures by professors and individual consultations as well as individual and group creative activities of selected participants – students of composition from partner institutions. The second part will involve public rehearsals of young composers’ works with professional musicians.
